B.R. Mount grew up in a small town in Wyoming where he spent the first twenty-two years of his life. In 2012, he moved to Portland, OR to pursue music. For much of that time, he's been working odd blue collar jobs such as locksmithing, moving, small tools mechanic work, and  commercial fishing. This has offered him a working class perspective that has helped inform his approach to songwriting. Just as he has never shied away from a hard days' work, his songs don't shy away from life's most challenging realities. B.R. Mount's mission is and will always be to use music that helps maintain humanity in an increasingly inhuman world
